TEDct at EUGOGO 2025

What is EUGOGO?

The European Group on Graves’ Orbitopathy (EUGOGO) is a leading international organisation focused on Thyroid Eye Disease (TED), also known as Graves’ Orbitopathy. EUGOGO brings together doctors, researchers, and specialists from around the world to improve understanding, treatment, and care for people with TED. The organisation also develops guidelines for treatment and encourages collaboration between professionals and patient groups.

TEDct Sponsorship and Presence

TEDct was proud to sponsor and attend EUGOGO 2025. We shared a stand with the British Thyroid Foundation, connecting with attendees, raising awareness, and sharing information about TED.

EUGOGO Conference Highlights

The three-day conference covered the latest research, treatments, and care for TED, including:

  • How TED develops and affects the body.
  • New medications and surgical options for managing TED.
  • How doctors assess TED and measure outcomes to improve patient quality of life.
  • Opportunities for collaboration between patients, clinicians, and researchers worldwide.

Roundtable Participation

TEDct was also honoured to take part in a roundtable discussion on “Empowering Patient Groups to Drive Advances in Thyroid Eye Disease” alongside Nicole Fichter and Claire Feeney. The session included contributions from global ophthalmologists and industry representatives, including Amgen Pharmaceuticals and the Mayo Clinic. Topics included how patient groups support TED, ways patients, clinicians, and industry can collaborate, patient-centred research, influencing policy, and future opportunities such as digital support and global partnerships.

Patient Focus

EUGOGO is also looking to reach out to more TED patients, recognising that the conference has traditionally been very professionally focused, but wanting to become more patient-centred going forward.

Looking Ahead

Attending EUGOGO 2025 was a valuable opportunity to make connections, learn from experts, and bring back insights that will help TEDct continue supporting patients, raising awareness, and advancing research for TED around the world.
