TEDct and third-party cookies

Our mechanism for payment, PayPal, also uses cookies. Some of these cookies are sessional and are required for the payment process to work and no longer have an effect once you have logged out of the site. What other information do we collect from you?

We value your privacy and you can choose to visit our site without revealing any information about yourself. There are sections of the site where you may be asked to provide personal information. It is up to you whether or not you provide this information. The types of personal information we collect are names, email and postal addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and credit/debit card data. You may also choose to share your experience of TED with us. If you do, we will give you specific additional information about our proposed use of that data at the relevant time. We may also ask for other information to help us to improve the site and our communications and service to you.

How do we use the information you give us?

We use your personal information to provide you with the services, information or products that you request, for administrative purposes (such as ensuring that we have an accurate record of all the donations we receive), to let you know about changes, campaigns and newsletters and, if you agree, as part of our fundraising activities. TEDct may also gather your information to learn more about the people who visit our website, donate and become members.

At TEDct we are committed to protecting your privacy. In order to respond to requests from users we collect personally identifiable information on our website from visitors who request information, make donations or otherwise provide us with personal information.

We use secure server software to encrypt any financial information you send when you make a donation. This software encrypts all your personal data so that these details cannot be accessed as they are transferred to us over the Internet.

How can I access, change, and/or delete information?

You may access, correct, update and/or delete any personally-identifiable information that you submitted to the Site. You can unsubscribe from TEDct newsletters at any time by sending an email.
